Fury-Klitschko rematch postponed as heavyweight champion sprains his ankle

The bout will now take place in October.

THE MUCH-ANTICIPATED rematch between Tyson Fury and Wladimir Klitschko for the world heavyweight championship has been postponed until October.

Fury, who had been due the defend his title against the former champion in Manchester on 9 July, posted a message on Instagram announcing that he sprained his ankle and is out of the bout.

The British boxer famously defeated Klitschko by unanimous decision in Dusseldorf last November to claim the title.

As yet, there is no response to the news from the Ukrainian’s camp.
